Story

Chrono Trigger revolves around a boy named Crono. While at the local fair Crono bumps into a young girl named Marle. Crono decides to let Marle tag along with him. Crono and Marle then find themselves at Crono's Lucca's sideshow. Lucca and Crono are lifelong friends and Crono volenteers to test out Lucca's telepod. Crono steps onto the telepad and after a second or two of energy transfer, Crono is teleported to the second telepad. Astonished, Marle volenteers herself to try the telepod out. While in the energy transfer, the telepod reacts to her pendant and a portal is created sucking Marle to another time period. amazed at what he just saw, Crono bravely steps up and enters the portal to save the young girl, not knowing what horrors he has yet to face.
